The "official" due date for our baby boy is 3 days away. Wife went to the doctor yesterday and she's not dilated at all so the doc figures we're going to be a little late. Good thing for me since I'm not done with the nursery yet. I ended up taking down the popcorn ceiling and floating a whole new layer of mud over the plaster up there and then sanding that smoother than glass. We also had the back of our chimney that jutted out into that room. It was ugly white painted brick and I've hated since we bought the house 2 years ago. I framed around it and drywalled that. Last night I pulled out all of the baseboards and door casings and sanded that smooth. Now I'm ready to paint, put up new baseboards, door casings and add crown moulding. The only thing left after that is to wire up the ceiling fan in there and it's good to go. Hopefully the baby can hold off through the weekend so I can get it done.

Better get all that work done before the baby comes. Cause afterwards, all you get to do is change poopy diapers and watch your baby breastfeed.

Good news for me, finally able to get back to thinking about a wedding and now my girls wants to just go down to the County Offices.

One of our best friends is like a day away. She could pop in the next night, so your kid might have the same B-day as her's! Wee.

No, will you paint the nursery pink......just go pastel yellow and green.

Nursery is getting a white ceiling, very light, sort of "seafoam" green walls, white trim and furniture and large chocolate brown area rug over the hardwood. I'll post up some pics when I get it done. I think I can pound it out this weekend.

Thanks tsand. Had a bit of a false alarm (I think) last night. Wife was having cramping and the top of her belly would get really hard during the cramping. She was uncomfortable this morning but told me to go ahead and go to work and she'd call me if anything developed. The upside to all of that was that I have everything ready for the hospital. Carseat's even installed. The downside is I was up until 2 AM and got up at 6 AM for work. I suppose I better get used to that. Razz

I asked the wife how she was doing this morning and she said "I don't know. I've never done this before." Mr. Green
